For many of us, the divine or the concept of God often evokes a picture in our minds of a human form - like someone dwelling in a sunny sky. This sounds compelling and comforting, but projecting such a concept onto an anthropomorphic representation may not be acceptable in the Abrahamic faiths. In fact, it might even be considered sinful. So what's the reason for this prohibition? The concept of God has been presented in both scientific and theological terms throughout history. A few centuries ago, those who revealed these deep universal secrets were imprisoned for such bold statements. The prohibition of anthropomorphic representation was still in place, and indeed, it served to maintain the religious and denominational values of that specific branch.
