Abstract: All ancient masters from the past, tread on this specific style of path called "Bodhisattva's". Their first and foremost duty was to uncover their own inner light, and then bring this light unto others, awakening and benefitting countless sentient beings. Although the bodhisattva path is not so popular, nor openly discussed/expounded in main-stream Abrahamic traditions, ancient masters from all religious faiths were essentially the bodhisattvas. Even though they had different trajectories and unique stories unfolding around them, all masters had arrived to their final realization and found their unity under the supreme creator. And they were all great meditators too. Whichever the major spiritual path we take, the evolutionary steps of our human consciousness along each path has similar and almost identical meditative states. Abstract: In the Abrahamic faiths, we often observe a clash between two foundational teachings: Gnosticism and Christianity/Catholicism. Gnosticism, with its emphasis on higher knowledge or "Gnosis", can be seen as controversial when compared to the other two teachings. Many Gnostic beliefs are considerably more liberal and diverge from traditional Abrahamic doctrines. Abstract: Many of us are familiar with the movie called 'The Matrix,' which was released in 1999. Directed by the Wachowskis, it is a groundbreaking science fiction film that feels remarkably relevant to our current reality. The story follows Thomas Anderson, a computer hacker who discovers that the reality he perceives is a simulated construct created by sentient machines to subjugate humanity. Surprisingly if you are a spiritual practitioner on the bodhisattva path, you may find yourself navigating a similarly strange and unfamiliar territory at a certain stage of your spiritual evolution. Abstract: Concepts such as heaven and hell exist in almost all religious traditions. Abrahamic traditions believe that, once you're liberated on this planet earth, you can go to heaven. Buddhist traditions mostly deny this claim and believe that we must reincarnate into this human world again from these celestial realms. Some believe that, these are merely mind-made concepts and in reality do not exist. Abrahamic traditions rely on the attainments such as ego-death, resurrection at their enlightenment while Buddhist traditions state, "Nirvana" is the highest goal leading to the final liberation. So there is a conceptual and a practical difference between the two. However a meditator who followed the bodhisattva path may have been exposed to both of these spiritual traditions and might have a different perspective, entirely based on his meditative experience. If you have a strong Shamatha/Chakra activation background (Maha-Tantra-Yana), then this post is for you. Usually the meditators, energy healers are exposed to the, higher dimensional region called the spirit realm. Upon activating certain chakras in our body, the subtle energy channels and winds can bring you to subtle meditative absorptions starting from the Sambhogakaya (spirit-level) samadhis to clear-lights. They are referred to as sun-like, moon-like nature of our mind respectively. Theravada Buddhism also briefly talks about these meditative absorptions.
